I’m so beyond happy and grateful!!

Its true that when I first made them I had told myself I’d never share them due to the stigma against fantrolls in the fandom. At first I was very apologetic for posting about them a lot but now I’ve just embraced it, haha.

I still can’t believe the amount of interest in them all things considered, but I wouldn’t change a thing.

If this is some kind of test to see if my fantrolls are “good” I’m probably gonna fail it but I’ll try anyway.

Aceron - self-deprecating, seeks validation from others
Leedsa - spreads rumors, not trustworthy with private information
Terrac - competitive, inconsiderate and oblivious of other people’s feelings
Vasdae - super annoying and pushy about his theories, distrustful of friends, condescending toward others who disagree with him
Elmeri - jealous, overly anxious/nervous, weak willed
Dionae - tendency to use others for person gain, sometimes unknowingly, can be clingy or attention seeking
Amarok - brutally honest, judgmental, especially of the lower castes, doesn’t honestly care about most of the other trolls
Erebus - 100% asshole
Meerka - plays favorites with people, often defending them when their actions were wrong
Witiko - short tempered, selfish and particuluarly unstable w/o a moirail
Sitera - bossy, controlling
Kontan - lazy and spoiled

I know a lot of these aren’t overtly assholish things. Some I would consider more just “annoying/negative qualities” rather than something that makes them an asshole, but eh, some of them just aren’t huge assholes.

Well first, if you show them to me, I will like them. So don’t worry about no one liking them, haha.

But I know it can be discouraging when no one seems to like/care about what you’re doing. You’ve just got to stick with it, because in the end it should be about what makes you happy, not other people.

Hmm sort of. Not in an extreme way and not as much as Elmeri, but he’s more the type that like to stay in and is pretty introverted!

I made my fantrolls over the summer, when I was taking a four hour long drawing class. I listened to the podcast Mysterious Universe a ton while I was drawing, so that kind of thing was fresh on my mind when I decided to make fantrolls one night.

They were probably based on the Flatwoods monster!! It has a weird sort of cult following in Japan and its in a few video games.

Actually not even the first time the comparison has been made. I haven’t seen too much of Durarara but from what I’ve seen it seems pretty accurate.
