It’s just two gathered skirt layers, the lighter part on top, the darker on the bottom (where the dark trim peeks out). It’s pretty simple I don’t think it warrants a diagram to point that out. The top piece has coat tails that come down?

The hood and the cape are one piece, a hooded capelet, so its kinda like this:

Anonymous Hello there, just a question about Feferi's Fancy Dreamer dress. Is there any beading on it or is it just lace? There’s not much beading on either of them but I made little references for both since they’re comparatively pretty simple:

I’ve always thought of it as a bodice/corset that just visually references armor rather than being a literal chestplate.
morn-of-the-eldritch-pariah asked you: Um if it’s not too much to ask, I kind of want to do a Dave x Dave fancy dreamer set and I was wondering if you could do like a quick lazy sketch to give the general idea of a damaged fancy dreamer Dave like you did with Aradia so I could be fancy dreamer dead Dave. So it seems like a lot of people are kind of stuck on the whole fabric issue, especially with fancy designs??? So as somebody who’s been sewing for a long time I thought maybe some suggestions would be helpful!
WTF FANCY HOW I FANCY UP SOME FANCY
First of all, and I think it’s important to realize this going in: Fancy designs are going to be more expensive. If you, dear cosplayer, are trying to pull together a whole costume on a budget of $20 including wig costs, I highly suggest doing one of the standard designs or just waiting and saving for a bit! Fancy fabrics, just like fancy clothes you buy in the store, cost more! Also, you generally have to use more yardage.
That said, some hints and tips for Fancytier:

I said I was gonna do some refs for the 63 Ancestors I did awhile ago, and I haven’t forgotten! Sorry this one is a little simplistic, I feel like this outfit is fairly straightforward.
